To my many patients and friends:
34 years ago, after starting my career in California, Suzanne and I moved our family to Seattle and opened Gateway Dental Centre. In 2005 we opened our satellite office, Reflections Dental Centre, and I have remained in practice at both locations throughout this entire time. These practices, along with our extremely dedicated staff, and yes, you as patients, have been a part of my family for these many years. You have seen me reschedule appointments in order to coach or be at every possible kid’s event. You have lived through health issues with my immediate family as well as myself, and we have always conversed about life with our families. I feel like you let me into your lives to assist in your healthcare needs, and hopefully you felt like your healthcare was cared for in a positive manner. To each of you, I say thank you for being so active and caring.
After much consideration and after practicing for 41 years, I feel the time has come to begin the next chapter of our lives with retirement from actively practicing dentistry. Our children have grown and Suzanne and I are proud of who they have become. Tyler and I have been practicing together for 7 plus years, and he is ready to lead these offices going forward. Alyssa is a physical therapist in Texas and is expecting her first child. With this being said, we have decided to spend more time with our children and thus have decided to retire in October of this year. My last day of work will be August 31, 2026. Although I will no longer be practicing, I know the practice will be in great hands being led by Dr. Tyler and Dr. Jake Nealon, as well as our faithful staff.
To you as patients, I just want to say thank you for enriching me with your knowledge, comedy, passions, kindness, caring, and friendships. I feel blessed that God brought you into my life and allowed me to grow with you and to learn from you. Dentistry has opened doors for me, but you as patients, family and friends have allowed me to love what I do. Thank you all and enjoy the summer. There is no place quite like Washington in the summer and fall.
